Entitled “Journey,” this sculptural installation was commissioned for the new TCU School of Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. The form, based upon the healing mythologies of the iris, speaks to our relationship with the natural world around us. It creates an iconic destination that symbolizes the special path of “empathetic scholars,” and becomes a portal that marks the entrance, the milestone of becoming physicians on their journey to care for others.
